Your child's day should be filled with 'awe and wonder' .... every day!
Your child's day should be filled with awe and wonder and here at Whitstable Childcare that is our passion from the moment they start with us.
Since September 2008 we have been working with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage, updated 2021) to ensure that whatever setting you, as parents, choose, you will be confident that your child will receive a continuous quality experience that supports his/her development and learning.
We keep a record of your child's time at our setting, which follows the progress they make through observations, photographs and examples of their work. This is shared with you through our online Baby's Days system on a continual basis. We always appreciate your input in your child's learning development and include your thoughts in future planning for your child.
We praise the children in everything they do, giving them the incentive to continue to learn and achieve, helping them enjoy learning and boost their self-esteem and confidence and make learning fun!
Curiosity Approach
We follow the Curiosity Approach with all our children. We are replacing the plastic toys with open-ended natural resources that spark a child's imagination and natural curiosity. That curiousity will support the desire to learn and instil the love of learning.
Your child's day should be filled with awe and wonder .... every day!
Learning Environment
We offer continuous provision in our setting, which allows the children to arrive and select the activity/toy they wish to play with. This encourages independence and develops good self-esteem and self-confidence. Together with adult-led planned activities, children learn through play and discovery and are then participants in their own learning and make choices based on their own learning style and experiences.
